Aren't we all wishing for travel again?
John and I have always loved to travel. It often involves a pass through Las Vegas or a flight out of there. Throughout the world and throughout the years we have had only one travel experience that has earned the title “Trip from Hell”.
It all revolved around one spring when Vegas was packed to the brim with “March Madness” and frustrations ran high. We got stuck for a very long time (days) in the loud and slot-machine ridden, Las Vegas airport and missed the first of our Caribbean cruise vacation.
I will NOT go into the gory details, (friends waiting to meet us there, pre-cell phone, no way to reach them..etc. etc.) it is far too long of a story, even though it is rather entertaining now. If you have a half-hour and want to hear the whole story, it's a doozie, give me a call.
But my low opinion of Las Vegas was brought even lower then.
For a long time, Vegas was the nearest airport of any size unless you were doing small regional flights into St. George.
But the last 10 years have seen major changes in the St. George area, including a new larger airport and expanded services.
So when you are ready to fly out to us in Kanab, check out SGU (St.George Utah regional airport). Now with flights connecting from
Delta, American Airlines, United, Skywest, and Allegiant Air.
Driving time is 1 ½ hrs, a little less than half of that from Vegas. And not even a fraction of the traffic and frustration issues!
When you are ready, We would love to help YOU find some of our favorite places to see, trails to hike, or tours to take.
Check out our website for ideas, or give me a call (435-262-6119). Let me know what you are hoping for in your next South West grand adventure!
